Ocean Life Survey is a marine consultancy which has been operating since 2013. We deliver marine research contracts, projects, surveys & equipment for clients around the world. 

Ocean Life Survey provides oceanographic, marine biological, ecological, and coastal geomorpholgy research and expertise.
 From seabed mapping to water collumn sampling, from marine environment assessment, to habitat and species surveys, and protection, we can offer our services to meet your requirements. 

We have experince of working in the sectors of marine renewable energy development; aquaculture development and operation; marine reserve and protected areas establishment, management and monitoring; environmental conservation and management programmes; ports and shipping operations; marine tourism; commercial and recreational fisheries; species and habitat scientific survey and protection.  


We have developed and deployed cutting edge technologies, and used exsiting research tools, to meet our clients needs and deliver improved marine operation, research, monitoring, conservation and protection outcomes. 

Ocean Life Survey also developes and offers new techniques and equipment for survey and protection of the marine environment and marine species. We can conduct remote monitoring, deliver land, sea or aerial surveys, and provide vessel based marine protection systems.

​We have already designed systems to reduce whale ship strike; reduce marine mammal fisheries bycatch; allow marine mammal and seabird nocturnal monitoring and study. 

We
further offer marine geoengineering and bioengineering expertise and services for enhancement and protection of marine coastal, offshore, and ice environments.

Whether delivering desk, lab or field research, we can deliver the necessary work required by our clients. From conducting feasibility assessments, planning and designing methodology, delivering project management, testing and implimenting systems, organising logistics, undertaking remote monitoring and fieldwork, delivering data analyis and interpretation, to providing and presenting final results and reports.

We can offer you expert advice; design and build a research methodology, programme or system to meet your needs; manage and execute the preperation and delivery for your organisation.

Our species expertise includes cetaceans and pinnipeds; seabirds; turtles; sharks & ray; fish; bivalves; marine invertebrates; and plankton. Our ecological habitat expertise includes estuarine and mangrove, intertidal, pelagic and benthic and polar ice environments, with operational research delivery from coastal zones to open oceans, from the tropics to the polar ice edge. We are also experienced in marine debris and plastic survey, analysis and capture.
